The Beauty Prep Voxbox
November 06, 2018
A few weeks ago, I received the Beauty Prep VoxBox from Influenster. It was filled with some beauty basics that I was in need of and eager to try! I enjoyed trying each of these products sent to me complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. Let's get into it below!
Velour Lashes
This specific collection of Velour Lashes can only be found at ULTA. They are faux mink and 100% cruelty free. I received these lashes in the style "flawless". "Flawless" is a layered lash with wispy ends that almost touched my brow bone when I put them on. Very dramatic. You can see me trying them on in my Instagram post here. I found these lashes incredibly easy to trim, apply, and clean. The glue held up all day and the small applicator made applying it to the lash strip so easy. The back of the box claims that I can get 25+ uses out of these lashes (assuming that means cleaning and caring for them carefully after each application). Though these lashes retail for $26, if you can get 25+ uses out of them I would consider them worth the price. I will definitely be wearing these to my cousin's wedding next weekend!
Patchology Breakout Box
I used to struggle a lot with my skin in high school. It was only a couple years ago that I feel like I have finally found a routine that keeps my skin somewhat clear. Even though I now have a skincare routine that works well for me, I still have the occasional breakout due to stress, my cycle or travel. I had first heard of acne patches from Claire Marshall on YouTube. I had looked into purchasing some but was unsure if they would actually work. Patchology's Breakout Box contains 24 salicylic acid dots, 24 hydrocolloid dots, and 3 blackhead-eliminating nose strips. I have used the salicylic acid dots and the nose strips. The salicylic acid dots are great to put on before I go to bed. Unlike drying creams or lotions, I don't have to worry about them getting on my pillow during the night. The nose strips I didn't find anything special about. They were pretty comparable to the Bioré nose strips. I do enjoy the colorful packaging and will update if I have a need to use the hydrocolloid dots.

Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair
I am always looking for a good leave in or conditioning treatment. After bleaching my hair 5 times and re-dying it the next day (it's a long story) the ends of my hair are incredibly dry and my use of heat styling doesn't always help the cause. The Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair is a leave in treatment that helps prevent breakage, repair damaged ends and protects from heat styling. It is also free from parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, formaldehyde, animal ingredients and synthetic fragrance. I have used this product like a leave in conditioner and have noticed a difference, especially on the ends of my hair. It has not miraculously fixed all of my split ends, but has prevented them from becoming less dry and as a result, less noticeable. The full size of this product is a bit pricey so I don't think I will be splurging on it anytime soon, but if you are interested in this product is does work well!
All opinions are my own and these products were sent to me complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes.
